Today is January 20th and one week today Mary will have surgery in Sudbury! We are amazed that it is going to happen so quickly and will try to get things in order in a week. Yesterday we met with the surgeon at Sudbury Regional Hospital. She seems very good and answered most questions we had. Following the surgery we will know how far the cancer has progressed and then decide on the treatment required. Mary is very positive about things and was really encouraged by the meeting with Dr. Brule. We had a note from Mel at Hillwood Farms and she gave us these encouraging words that I thought was good advice for us all. Mel had been reading in Philippians Ch 4 v 6&7, " Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. It struck me that HE will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus....He will keep you from despair or fear or discouragement by giving you His most amazing PEACE and PRESENCE."
