The cold weather arrived with hikes at the cottage, snow, sliding and Christmas. We rejoiced as all the kids were home for Christmas this year. 2019 was a good year!

Fall 2019
The fall of 2019 was again great weather. We finished the deck at the cottage, went to Wisconsin to a Hillsong United Concert and to Kentucky to visit the Ark. Great times.
Plane Crash
A small plane crashed north of Thessalon, but no one was seriously hurt. Tim Stewart and I got called in to help remove the plane and get it out of the bush. Started getting the plane down from the large pine trees at about 10am and cleared a trail 1000 ft and had the plane out by 3pm same day.
Summer Begins
Summer 2019 was great weather. We got home from Japan and spent more time than we realized recovering from the time away. We spent some nice times with Aly's boys.
Teamworkers Japan Trip May 2019
In May 2019 we travelled to Japan on a Teamworkers' mission to Komoro City north of Tokyo. The project was a demolition and renovation of an existing structure for future use as a residence for the missionary couple living there. We had a 6 member team and the 2 week trip was very busy. We spent long days, taking down walls, removing window, removing old materials. Some of the team members spent many hours painting, with others dealing with all the recycling. We had a great opportunity to connect with believers from that area and travelled on one weekend to sightsee. The mission trip and project were a blessing to each team member and the two missionaries as well. Thanks to Tim and Christiane.

Holiday in the UK
In April 2019 on our return from Africa we went on a holiday in England. We spent three days sightseeing in London and area. Some notables sights were Buckingham Palace, London Needle, Windsor Castle and many more. We rented a car and travelled north.
Our first stop was Birmingham, we visited the Caves and really appreciated their help as our credit card had been cancelled. We continued to Scotland and visited Edinburgh then continued to Inverness and returned to England visiting Loch Ness on the way.
We stopped in Oxford and had a nice visit with Dr. Roz, who took us punting on the Thames. We continued to Wales then back to Canada, for a refuel and to prepare for a Teamworker's trip to Japan.
